The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us! The work I’ve done for The 33rd Team this year has served as a wonderful foundation of my understanding of the class, but that’s only a part of the battle to be prepped for Draft weekend for our coverage of the Miami Dolphins. Scoring and grading prospects for the entire league differ from those for a specific team with a specific scheme.

And that’s where the 2025 Miami Dolphins Horizontal Draft Board comes into play. The objective is simple — prioritize positional traits with weighted values to properly reflect the value of skills when projecting into the Dolphins’ scheme. Arm strength is worth less than anticipation, given how things are currently constructed. First step explosiveness and second-level blocking skills are paramount in the trenches compared to raw power at the point of attack. The examples are endless. And this project aims to reflect those players whose strengths align with what matters to make the Dolphins’ offense or defense go.
